Nazorean House
This is the first home that Irenicon opened in the Haverhill area. Four core members and three (sometimes four) assistants live together in this lovely single family home. The third floor and basement has been renovated into bedrooms for assistants. The back yard provides the community with an ideal spot for cookouts and other outdoor gatherings.
With Irenicon meaning message of peace, the name Nazorean was chosen, reflecting the people of the town where Jesus, the one who brings the message to many of us, lived throughout most of his childhood and as an adult until he was 30 years old.
Peace House
Peace House is a three decker that is a small apartment on each of the three floors. Currently a married couple live on first floor receiving minimal support. On second floor an assistant and one core member make their home together. Third floor is available for flexible type housing if and when the opportunity arises. Right now 2 assistants live there.
Gandhi House
This is the community's newest home. Located in one of Haverhill's finest neighborhoods, it is a large and gracious home where four core members and four assistants share their lives. With a spacious living room and a large activity space in the basement, many of the community events are hosted by this home. There is a large carriage house on the property that prompts the community's dreamers to imagine future renovation projects and uses for the now empty building.
Assisi Home
Irenicon’s newest home now has a name, Assisi Home! It’s a beautiful split level home located on a cul-de-sac in Bradford. With nature all around, Assisi is an appropriate name since St. Francis’s home was Assisi and he was interested in the natural world of animals, environment and love for a peaceful life setting. The back yard is a natural setting for gardening, barbecuing and just plain relaxing.
